Everything builders and trade professionals need to know about CHR units, service and supply.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

From the moment a service call is logged, a CHR technician is on-site within 48 hours. The guarantee covers every unit in the range - W17 through R40 - and is backed in writing. If a call is not resolved, it escalates directly to our managing director. No exceptions.
All CHR heat pumps carry a 5-year parts warranty and a 10-year compressor warranty. Terms are documented and provided at point of sale. The 48-hour service guarantee is separate from, and in addition to, standard warranty coverage.
The AstroMax H35 Turbo delivers 35kW on single-phase power - the highest single-phase output available in Australia. No electrical upgrade required. For three-phase installations, the AstroMax R40 delivers 40kW.
CHR supplies direct. No dealer network, no intermediary. Orders are placed directly with our team and delivery is managed in-house to your nominated site. Lead times and scheduling are confirmed at the time of order.
Spec sheets, installation guides, electrical requirements documents and warranty certificates are available for every model on our Builder Resources page. If you need something not listed, call us directly.

A pool heat pump extracts heat from the ambient air and transfers it to pool water using a refrigerant cycle - similar to a reverse-cycle air conditioner. A fan draws air over an evaporator coil, the refrigerant absorbs heat, a compressor increases the temperature, and a heat exchanger warms the water. No gas connection required.
COP (Coefficient of Performance) measures heat output per unit of electricity consumed. A COP of 5.0 means 5kW of heat for every 1kW used. The AstroMax range achieves COP 16.0 to 20.0 across models - well above the industry average - meaning significantly lower running costs for your clients.
Running costs depend on pool size, target temperature, climate and usage. A 50,000L pool in Victoria typically costs $2 to $5 per day to maintain at 28°C during cooler months. AstroMax COP ratings of 16.0 to 20.0 make CHR units among the most cost-efficient pool heat pumps available in Australia.
As a guide: pools up to 50,000L suit the W17 (17kW); up to 80,000L the C24 (24kW); up to 130,000L the H35 Turbo (35kW, single-phase); larger or commercial pools the R40 (40kW, three-phase). Sizing also depends on pool exposure, climate zone and desired heating hours. See Compare All Models or call Frankie directly.
